Hilde Van Vreckom behaalde het diploma van Licentiaat in de rechten in 1998 met specialisatie in Europees en internationaal recht sinds 1999 aan de KU Leuven en UCL Louvain-la-Neuve. Zij is advocate aan de Balie van Waals-Brabant sinds 1999 en aan de Balie van Brussel sinds 2013.
Zij begon als advocate met een voorkeur voor het vreemdelingenrecht in al zijn aspecten maar breidde haar specialisatie verder uit naar discriminatie- en racismewetgeving, familie- en personenrecht, internationaal privaatrecht, socialezekerheidsrecht en strafrecht.
Zij heeft ook constant oog voor de globale context waarin het Europese en internationale recht een groeiende invloed heeft op het Belgisch recht en stelt een cliëntgerichte, persoonlijke en efficiënte aanpak voorop zonder de mogelijkheid van bemiddeling en onderhandeling uit het oog te verliezen.
Haar jarenlange ervaring in procedures vreemdelingenrecht zijn een garantie voor een persoonlijke aanpak en kwaliteitsvol werk en dit in alle stadia van de procedures.
Zij publiceerde een artikel in het Tijdschrift voor Vreemdelingenrecht (De omzetting van de Terugkeerrichtlijn in het Belgisch recht, T.Vreemd. 2012/4, 296) en als experte was zij spreekster op studiedagen en info-avonden over topics zoals meervoudige verzoeken internationale bescherming, regularisatieaanvragen en nationaliteit.
Sinds 1 juli 2019 is zij lid van de groepering van advocaten DGV-Law.

Hilde Van Vreckom obtained her Masters degree of Law in 1998 with a specialisation in European and international law since 1999 at the KU Leuven and UCL Louvain-la-Neuve. She first became a lawyer at the the Bar of Brabant wallon since 1999 and since 2013 she’s a lawyer at the Bar of Brussels.
She started as a lawyer with a preference for immigration law in all it’s aspects but she broadened her specialties to antiracism and discrimination laws, family and personal law, private international law, social security law and penal law.
She’s always attentive for the global context in which the European aand international law has an increasing impact on Belgian law and she puts first a personal and efficient approach without loosing out of sight the possibility of mediation and negociation.
Her years of experience in procedures of immigration law are a guarantee to a personal approach and wordk of quality and this in all stages of the procedures.
She published an article in the Tijdschrift voor Vreemdelingenrecht ( De omzetting van de Terugkeerrichtlijn in het Belgisch recht, T. Vreemd, 2021/4, 296) and as an expert she was a speaker on study days and info evenings about topics such as multiple applications for international protection,applications for regularisations and nationality.
Sinds July 1st 2019 she became a member of the group of lawyers DGV-Law.
